Looking down Ryders Green Locks
This flight of locks drops the Walsall canal down from the Main line level to the Walsall level. This canal was one of the later links of the BCN to be built.

Walsall Canal with Ryders Green Locks in 1979
The view south-east along the rising line of Ryders Green Locks from beside No.7 lock at Great Bridge Bridge. In 1979 the canal stretch was lined with factories; perhaps it is still though aerial views show that there have been changes.
