The Red Lion, Gornalwood
The Red Lion is a mid-Victorian pub that stands opposite the small Gornalwood bus station. The building has an odd cut-away look giving the impression it has been sliced in half. At some point an adjoining public toilet block was built (to the left of the pub) but this has been closed since about 2010.

Gornal Wood bus station
Even less of a bus station than it used to be, with the stand having disappeared from the island of pavement to the right of the bus. As well as being served by buses to surrounding towns such as Dudley, Wolverhampton, and Stourbridge, Gornal Wood is the terminus of route X10 from Birmingham via Halesowen and the Merry Hill Centre; the bus seen here, an Alexander Dennis Enviro 400MMC of National Express West Midlands, is laying over between journeys on the X10. The X10 was extended to Gornal Wood relatively recently, and follows almost exactly the same route as the 136/137, which were split at the Merry Hill Centre in about 1997; back to the future.
