Park Head Junction
Park Head Locks take the Dudley Canal up to the southern end of the Dudley Tunnel. The empty lock-keepers' cottages and disused railway viaduct (the former Great Western Railway's Oxford, Worcester & Wolverhampton line) are a sad reflection of the former importance of these links.

Parkhead Locks No 3 near Dudley
North of Parkhead Junction (with Dudley No 2 Canal), the Parkhead flight of three locks provides a rise (or fall) of twenty feet (just over six metres) as the Dudley No 1 Canal continues towards Dudley Tunnel.

Dudley No 1 Canal at Parkhead Locks, Dudley
This shows Parkhead Locks No 3 at Parkhead Junction (with Dudley Tunnel No 2, off to the right). The three locks in this flight allow a rise (or fall) of twenty feet (just over six metres) as the Dudley No 1 Canal continues towards Dudley Tunnel. The viaduct in the background carries a dismantled railway which used to be part of the old Great Western Railway line between Oxford, Worcester and Wolverhampton.

Parkhead Locks
Parkhead Locks lead up from Parkhead Junction, where the Dudley no 1 and Dudley no 2 canals meet, to the mouth of Dudley Tunnel. The restrictions through the tunnel mean that the locks are little used.
