There is not much point in the height signage on the bridge if you can't see it for trees. The height is actually 10'-3" under the central part. The main line from Waterloo to the west crosses.

Farmland near Stowell
Footpath 40UD021 WN 7/20 goes through the gate at the right end of the hedge to reach the tree-lined lane at the next field boundary. The hillside field across the lane is called Starve Acre. View from an Exeter-bound train.

Used by a public footpath as far as it goes - the next field. The path then turns sharp left and heads for Clare Farm over the fields.
