Mary Goodden monument - Over Compton parish church
This monument commemorates a brother and sister John and Mary Goodden. Mary was the second daughter of Robert and Abigail Goodden, who died a spinster at her residence in Bath in 1812. Her brother, their third son, was the Revd. John Culliford Goodden the rector of Over and Nether Compton who died in 1813.

Robert Goodden monument - Over Compton parish church
The Goodden family until comparatively recently were Lords of the Manor of Over Compton who lived at nearby Compton House. This memorial commemorates another Robert Goodden who died in 1764, and his wife Abigail who died in 1772. Their son Robert Gooden erected this memorial in 1777.
