Tree-lined lane approaching Pigeon House
This private lane (and public bridleway) leads north down the valley west of Hampton Hill. It is flanked by horse chestnut trees which, nearer to Pigeon House, have daffodils planted around their bases. Pigeon House is the white building in the distance.

There is a great deal of "horsiculture" in this part of Dorset. The chalk hills north of Dorchester are criss-crossed with bridleways and small lanes suitable for riding.
