The Black Dog, Broadmayne, re-opened
This time last year the pub was closed and the garden overgrown. See Image, Image and Image Now transformed. Hope it lasts. According to its website: "In December 2014 the pub opened the doors of the bar to the village of Broadmayne after being closed refurbished, just in time for those Christmas celebrations Earlier in 2014 the pub, which dates back to 1851, was bought from Punch Taverns by a local family who set about a refurbishment and rebuilding schedule. The pub will have 6 letting bedrooms from 2015 and a spacious dining area where tasty home cooked pub grub meals are served using the finest ingredients from local suppliers in Dorset; yet still retaining the charm of a village inn. For those sunny Dorset days we have a large beer garden with a children's play area and pride ourselves on being a family friendly pub."

The Black Dog beer garden
The beer garden of the Black Dog in Broadmayne. This somehow seems a sadder sight than the closed pub itself. There was also a children's play area off left which is similarly overgrown. For the pub building see Image
