Anti-tank Blocks DoB ID: S0000042
Maiden Newton Anti-tank Island - Cubes. After 75 years or so 11 anti-tank blocks continue to reside in the back gardens of Whitehall Cottages alongside the River Hooke. No doubt the residents at the time were none too pleased at having to accommodate them. The blocks would have prevented access into the centre of the village via the river and the back gardens.
