Head Post Office, Dorchester

Dorchester Delivery Office
Off Bridport Road; no longer the Head Post Office, as an inscription above the main entrance to the left states; a further inscription above a window arch in the centre states "MONS SHAIBA", which refers to battle honours won by the Dorsetshire Regiment in WW1. http://www.northeastmedals.co.uk/british_regiment/dorset_regiment.htm

Post office depot - Dorchester
The remainder of the barracks now belongs to the Post Office. The sorting office just visible on the extreme right used to be the barracks gym. On the left is Vespasian House.
