Looking north west from the Market Place. The building with the turret is the former Owston Church School.

Owston Church School
Now converted to a private residence. The diamond-shaped stone is inscribed "Boys' School"; presumably there was once a similar one for girls above the other door.

Owston Church School, Owston Ferry
Boys school it says over the right hand doorway, so maybe there was a girls school somewhere nearby, or even through the left hand arch. Now converted into a dwelling house. The present residents aren't backing fracking.

An old established bus and coach operator serving the Isle of Axholme. They run a regular weekday service to Doncaster and a network of local school and college runs.

Owston Ferry, Centenary Methodist Chapel
Set back off the main road, it is rather shy of its façade which is not easily viewed. Built in 1837 it still apparently retains much of its original interior. Listed Grade II.

Owston Ferry Clock
This was originally a gas lamp donated by local benefactor Frances Sandars in 1866. The lamp has in recent times been replaced by a clock. Listed Grade II.
