Much altered 17th Century house, formerly known as The Cottage, Kelfield
Unfortunately it seems to be boarded up, but clearly has a long history, the plate above the door suggesting to 1689. It's a listed building showing clear Dutch influence, they having helped plan the drainage of vast areas of lowland on both sides of the River Trent. The road through Kelfield
Kelfield is a minuscule hamlet on the road alongside the River Trent between Owston Ferry and West Butterwick, but it is still the largest place in those five miles. See also https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6265600

Showing the Dutch influence of these parts - Dutch engineers were responsible for much of the drain and canal construction in this area. Dated 1689 on a stone above the door.

Farm buildings in Kelfield
The left-hand block looks to have been stabling but most of the doors and windows have been blocked. The ash tree growing on the right is going to cause a lot of damage before long.
