Bridleway in Long Strip
This is the last leg of the coastal path between Grimsby and Immingham. Long Strip is a narrow belt of broadleaf woodland, mainly oak, running at right angles to the shore.

Bridleway through the Long Strip
This bridleway has travelled for about three and a half miles along the Humber sea defences, starting at Pyewipe in Grimsby. At this point it heads inland through a wood called the Long Strip, heading towards Laporte Road.

Path near Immingham
This bucolic view is misleading. The path leads through a narrow strip wood before emerging at the sea into probably one of the most industrial landscapes in England - Immingham docks on one side and a succession of chemical works on the other.

The Grimsby and Immingham Light Railway
Now little used. The track is in poor condition and a 10mph speed restriction is imposed on much of the route.
