Humberside Police - Immingham Neighbourhood

The illegal use of motorbikes, eScooters, and other vehicles is an issue causing concern in Immingham and surrounding areas.

Officers are conducting high visibility patrols in the relevant areas to both deter and detect those people riding motorbikes, quads, and E-scooters.

Days of action involving local officers and other police units will be taking place over the coming months targeting these issues to resolve this antisocial behaviour.

Actions ahead continue to be:
Issuing of Section 59 and E-scooter warning notices to those riding anti-socially.
Humberside Police has seen a reduction in reports of illegal riding of motorbikes and E-scooters. This could be due to the action local officers have taken in relation to E-scooters, such as circulating an E-scooter flier to each of our schools highlighting the illegalities of riding them and the dangers that riding them pose, not only to the rider, but other pedestrians and road users.
This could also be due to the time of year and the darker nights but as Christmas is approaching families may be thinking about purchasing E-Scooters, Quads and Motorbikes as presents. Police will continue to educate, issue warnings where applicable before seizing the motor vehicle.
Two E-scooter warning notices have been issued to juveniles in the area since the last update.
This will continue to be a priority

Op Agility is the name given to the local operation targeting criminality, drug offences and ASB in the Immingham area.

There is work ongoing with the intention of securing a PSPO in Immingham and helping to make Immingham feel a safer place for the local community and those visiting. This is being progressed through ongoing work in conjunction with partner agencies to achieving this.
Locations have been identified and the ordering of the PSPO signage has commenced and will be placed around certain points in Immingham. The signs will be in visible locations and will advising the public of a PSPO being in place.
Several young people have been identified for being involved in ASB behaviour around buildings on Kennedy Way, and Washdyke Lane, including climbing on rooves, being abusive, and causing criminal damage. Local officers have been taking positive action against these groups with various processes being put in place with the support of North East Lincolnshire Council.

Other objectives of Op Agility are:
To work continuously across the force area to prevent ASB and associated criminality.
Working with the community is key – we will always act on reports received.
We are committed in providing accessible local officers in our communities to be able to work together and take action against any type of criminality.
We are listening to residents the supply of drugs and associated ASB. This is not tolerated or accepted.
To always maintain a child first principle in relation to supporting our most vulnerable young people
To encourage members of the community to report Crime and ASB so Police and partner agencies can take positive action against those causing the community harm.

Humberside Police have noticed a recent increase in shop thefts over recent months and with the busy Christmas period approaching this is a priority to work together with the community to keep our shops and community safe.

Actions
Officers will be engaging with businesses, offering crime prevention advice and advice on how to report to police, holding police 'drop in' sessions within stores entrances to act as a deterrent, target repeat offenders and considering civil orders.

Op Agility is the name given to the local operation targeting ongoing tackling ASB including drugs, violence, knife crime and ASB behaviour nuisance bikes and fly tipping.

Op Agility has a dedicated officer PC JONES, who will be working closely with PS PATTINSON who will be overseeing.
Ongoing considerations with Immingham Town Council for CCTV cameras to be installed.
Public Space Protection Order is still being progressed with North East Lincolnshire as is the consideration for ANPR cameras at key locations coming into and out of Immingham.
Police have had a presence in the first Immingham Magazine which will be delivered to over 5000 homes. Continue to have a presence in the Magazine so the community know their local community officers.
School Visits – SPOC for Immingham Oasis Academy is PC 913 Andrews, and the remaining primary schools are with PCSO CLARK. Contacting schools and briefing on the new Pol Ed system and the benefits of its use.
Immingham NPT have produced a poster showing our preplanned community engagements events for the community of Immingham to come and interact with us, to report and share information. This has been shared with our stakeholders. This is an ongoing commitment with each member of the team taking ownership for two engagements to be repeated every 3 weeks.
Humber Talking to be completed and we will always encourage members of the community to report Crime and ASB so Police and Partner agencies can take positive action against those causing harm.

A Day of Action in March has been organised using Selecta DNA marking kits to mark tools, register the businesses and display the stickers and signs in a prominent location when this has been completed.

Regular Engagement:
- There will be a minimum of 8 different engagement opportunities a month for public to attend an speak to officers - (subject to change dependant on force priorities and calls to service)
- Officers will be conducting foot patrols in the area - Please speak to them
- Officer will be attending hundreds of houses to talk about My Community Alert and Neighbourhood Watch Scheme
- A Day of action will be conducted at least once a month concentrating on the things that the public are telling us i.e ASB, VEHICLE CRIME ETC
- Updates in the Immingham News
- Talks in schools and businesses

Targeted Activity / Problem Solving:
- Looking into technology opportunities within Immingham such as extra ANPR cameras, Shop Watch Radio, targeted patrols through data capture
- Intel led activity. Officers will be reviewing Intel submissions and building up on intel to target issues and those involved
- ASB - The team will be working with partners such as Housing to tackle to persistent ASB offenders and make Immingham a safer place to live & work

Op Yellowfin is the name for the operation for anti-social and nuisance motorbikes.
The Immingham NPT team are dedicated to taking action against nuisance motorcycles riding antisocially off road, or on road without correct authorities/licenses/insurance. Includes Electric Scooters and some E bikes.
We will continue our targeted approach with our Days of Action and ask that the public continue to report to us to help us build a picture of when the likely times and days that will be most effective.

High visibility patrols at significant times. Further days of action targeted at Op Yellowfin. Humbertalking to encourage members of the community to report logs.

The Immingham NPT team, have seen a reduction in reported ASB in the previous period (01.6.26-31.07.26). However, ASB continues to be an issue for the community in general.
The reduction of ASB in and around the Civic area is in line with the introduction of the Public Space Protection Order and breaches seen by police will be dealt with positively.
Youths to be dealt with positively through engagement and ASB warning letters.

High visibility patrols are to continue in affected areas, particularly around Kennedy Way/Alden Close, Pelham Road and Church Lane (around abandoned golf club) as well as Roval Drive as this has recently come to our attention as an area to focus on.
