This area, between Grimsby's docks and the town centre, is now largely filled with light industrial premises but was at one time crowded with dock workers' cottages. Note the sign advertising Tolley's Cafe on the Grimsby Business Centre, 'established 2023'; previously it was Greg's Cafe.

King Edward Street runs parallel to Victoria Street North. Although it looks rather grotty it is home to many useful city services such as the Royal Mail and Express Dairy depots. The large multi-storey building in the distance is the telephone exchange.
