Both Domino's Pizza, Bathstore.com and the former Palace Theatre (The large building on the corner), which is now Carphone Warehouse, are described as being Palace Court, and residing on Victoria Street. The photograph was taken from next to Corporation Bridge.

Control room for the Corporation Bridge
The Corporation Bridge was constructed by dock engineer Alfred C. Gardener in 1925. It cost almost £60,000 to build and was officially opened by the Prince of Wales in 1928.

Corporation Bridge, Grimsby
Detail showing the Control Cabin containing the Two DC Electric Motors which could be used separately or in tandem to power the Rack and Pinion Drive, the Rack is clearly visible. Note also the counterweights at the end of the Bascule which equal the weight of the Span or "Leaf". This Electrically Powered Scherzer Rolling Lift Road Bridge was built in 1925 by Alfred C. Gardner Docks Engineer to the London North Eastern Railway. Contractor Sir William Arrol & Co, of Glasgow, for the Grimsby Corporation, to replace an earlier Swing Bridge.
