Telephone Building
Viewed across a sea of cars in Asda's carpark.
Described by Pevsner as "a towering mass", it was designed by George Winterburn (Property Services Agency) and built in 1973.

Telephone exchange, Grimsby (2)
One of Grimsby's few striking buildings. "A towering mass", wrote Pevsner. It is certainly uncompromising, and its castle-like vertical strip windows make it look more redoubtable. A brick service tower and brown cement-clad or perhaps aggregate-clad slab. It was designed by George Winterburn (Property Services Agency) and built in 1973.

Entrance Door to Grimsby Telephone Exchange
This is the entrance to the old 1935 telephone exchange on Grime Street. This building appears to be no longer used by BT and has a "To Let" sign on the wall.

This must be the original exchange - it's much bulkier successor looms next door (Image]). The date 1935 is carved above the front door. Pleasant enough brick Art Deco. At the time of the photo available to let.
