King Edward VI Grammar School, main front
Still looking forlorn with boarded up windows and rubble in the courtyard, but the brickwork and masonry has been cleaned prior to conversion work. Built in 1855 to the designs of architect Decimus Burton in a mixture of Tudor and Gothic Revival styles. The main entrance with tower and spire makes a dramatic statement. To its right is the school hall. Listed Grade II.
