Great North Road at Markham Common
The road to the left is now something of a backwater since the opening of the modern A1, but would have formed the main link to Sheffield for London based traffic.
Straight ahead is the former A1, now the A638 to Retford

St.Paul's church, West Drayton, Notts.
Tiny nave and chancel all in one. The south door is much decayed but obviously Norman with a holy water stoup to the right.
