Lincoln Gardens Primary School
The building was opened for business in 2004 replacing the separate junior and infant departments which were located nearby. The photographer attended both the previous schools in the 1960's! See http://www.lincolngardens.net/

Sculpture at Lincoln Gardens Primary School
This dates back to the early 1950's when the original Lincoln Gardens Infants and Junior Schools were established to cater for the rapid expansion of Scunthorpe's population as the steel works were developed. The photographer would have passed this statue upon entering the Infants department in the mid-1960's. Behind is the new building of Lincoln Gardens Primary School, which opened in 2004.

An estate pub built at the same time as the extensive housing of this part of Scunthorpe due to the rapid expansion of the Scunthorpe steel works in the early 1960's.
