Rawcliffe Bridge over the Dutch River ? 1978
Remarkably, the bridge over the River Don/Dutch River has previously avoided a view on Geograph, although there are several views taken from it. It was built in the 1960s to replace (if memory serves) a timber structure which was completely unsuited to modern traffic. Nevertheless even the moden had to be closed for a full 12 months in 2019/20 for major structural repairs. The bus is on the long service between Goole and Doncaster operated by two local independent companies, Blue Line of Armthorpe and Reliance of Stainforth, two of several such operators in the Doncaster area principally serving mining villages. The bus is Blue Line's KYG299D, a Guy Arab V with Roe bodywork, new to the operator in 1966. This is one of a series of views featuring buses in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=137652761
