Goole, Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Goods Office
The Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Company (L&YR) was a predecessor of the London Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS). The date on the building is 1892. In days past the railway used to run between the building and the Docks. There is now a road and warehouses. The building is very ornate.

Looking east. Regretfully, there is now no direct service to Leeds over the direct route via Castleford. It is necessary to change at Doncaster, or sometimes at Brough, to get to Leeds from here.

Police station, Goole
A number of the older buildings in the centre of Goole are built in deep-red brick with what is surely a Flemish influence; the police station is one of them. A court occupies or occupied, the same building.
