Securely gated back alley, Highfield Road
Most of the terraced street in this part of Doncaster were built with back alleys [gulleys, ginnels]. All are now gated and locked.

Doncaster bus passing Town Field
The bus is still carrying the Doncaster Transport name and livery, but the number, 1173, shows that the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive has already taken over the Corporation's buses. It is one of a batch of Daimler buses which received bodies from withdrawn trolleybuses which were only a few years old.
The Town Field pavilion has been replaced by a more modern building.
