The bus is still carrying the Doncaster Transport name and livery, but the number, 1173, shows that the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive has already taken over the Corporation's buses. It is one of a batch of Daimler buses which received bodies from withdrawn trolleybuses which were only a few years old. The Town Field pavilion has been replaced by a more modern building. This is one of a series of views featuring buses in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=137652761
