East Lodge is a former gate lodge to Bolton Hall. Built in the mid or late 19th century. Constructed of coursed rubble stone with ashlar dressings under a Welsh slate roof. There is a projecting 2-storey tower with a pyramidal roof. Listed, grade II, with details at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1179236 Wensley is a small village in the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire, some 1½ miles southwest of Leyburn. It is sited on the north bank of the River Ure, where the river is crossed by a 15th century bridge. Wensley once had the only market in the dale, its charter being granted in 1318. The village was very badly hit by the plague in 1563 and many of the surviving villagers fled to nearby Leyburn.

East Lodge, Wensley
A two-storey lodge built in the mid to late nineteenth century using coursed stone with ashlar dressings and Welsh slate roof. A two-storey tower projects to the right. It is a Grade II listed building (List Entry Number: 1179236 https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1179236 Historic England).

Pump on the village green, Wensley
The pump is circa 1810 and is grade 2 listed. The stone gate piers in the background mark the entrance drive to Bolton Hall.

The gate piers, walls and railings at the entrance to Bolton Hall. Constructed in the early 19th century of ashlar with wrought iron gates and railings. Plain ashlar walls with coping, curved on plan, supporting wrought-iron railings.
