Bainbridge Institute
The style and date (1875) of the building strongly suggests it was built as a school, probably as a result of the 1870 Education Act which allowed local school boards to raise money from the rates to fund elementary education. If that's not enough, the name of the road running off to its right, School Hill, clinches the argument!

'Le Tour' comes to Bainbridge
The 'Tour de France' will pass through Bainbridge on Saturday, July 5th. To promote this there are numerous yellow 'bicycles' stuck onto the houses of the village.

Bainbridge Methodist Church
Located on Back Syke and built as a Wesleyan chapel in 1836 according to the plaque above the door. Good to see uPVC replacement windows making a decent attempt to replicate their predecessors.
