Applegarth Car Park
Car parking is free in Northallerton. It is a market town in rural North Yorkshire and relies on people coming to shop here. Short stay car parking in the High Street and half of this car park is controlled by cardboard parking discs. Just set the time you arrive and you have two hours parking for free. Other spaces are available (further from the shops) for longer term parking. The building in the centre is part of Barkers Dept Store. Walking between the black metal bollards to the right takes one to the tourist information centre.

Floral Roundabout
The roundabout is at the junction of Friarage Street (joining from the right of the photograph) and Northallerton High Street. The roundabout has always had an impressive display of bedding plants. The current display celebrates the centenary of The Scouts 1907 - 2007. All Saints Church can be seen in the distance.

Postbox DL7 5. The most recent Google Street View image from September 2018 shows a telephone kiosk where the right hand litter bin is. I had to crop the original 16:9 image down to a square to eliminate pedestrians.
