Looking forlorn at Darlington Railway Works ? 1965
Former North Eastern Railway 0-6-0 goods locomotive, later LNER class J21 and finally British Railways 65033. After withdrawal it was considered for a place in the National Collection, which is how it came to be at this location, but preservation did not become a reality until 1972 when it was purchased for use at Beamish Museum. It has since had a varied life https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2532001 , and at the time of writing it is undergoing restoration prior to removal to the Stainmore Railway Company at Kirkby Stephen. Beyond it can be seen the chassis of an unidentified A4 pacific locomotive (e.g. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6158966 )

North Road railway station, Darlington, County Durham
Originally opened in 1842 by the Stockton & Darlington Railway and rebuilt in 1856. View north west. The station is now cut in half by some serious fencing. The portion on the left was a railway museum at the time this image was taken, leaving only this platform in railway use.
