Looking forlorn at Darlington Railway Works ? 1965
Former North Eastern Railway 0-6-0 goods locomotive, later LNER class J21 and finally British Railways 65033. After withdrawal it was considered for a place in the National Collection, which is how it came to be at this location, but preservation did not become a reality until 1972 when it was purchased for use at Beamish Museum.
It has since had a varied life https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2532001 , and at the time of writing it is undergoing restoration prior to removal to the Stainmore Railway Company at Kirkby Stephen.

Apartment buildings across grassed space
The buildings, particularly the one to the right could be taken for rather grand individual houses but are in fact apartment buildings with a number of smaller dwellings within. The view is from an open grassed area beside Meyne Road.
