Hurworth village looking East
This is the other end of the village from Dave Dunford's Image photo. Virtually in the centre of the image is George V 1911 memorial and to its right is the Church School on Blind Lane and to its left just behind that street light is Mick Harrington's wooden bus shelter Image Just out of shot to the left where the parked cars are is the village supermarket - just a small one but not the old fashioned shop type.

Hurworth School
Private school overlooking the green and housed in a two and a half storey brick house of the 18th century. A pity about the rather ugly extensions either side. [2012 update] The school closed in 2011 and its present status is unknown.
