Housing terrace north of Church of St. Michael and all Angels
Curious construction on the short terrace of houses in Frosterley: Nowadays if brick and stone were to be used in house building, stonework would probably be chosen for the main aspect of the house but in this terrace brickwork is the favoured material!

Road closure on Front Street
Several road signs along the A696 approaching Frosterley warned that the road ahead was closed but giving no clue of where or how far ahead. It was a short distance from this location in the village centre - apparently a water main had burst. Work was ongoing on just one side of the road and so the need for a full closure wasn't obvious. A remarkable number of water company vehicles and personnel were on-site.
