Fallen Angel?
The once busy Angel Inn at Catterick appears to have fallen on hard times and is currently closed. Workmen were busy within, but is the building to be refurbished as an inn, or will it become residential units? 2011 update: The inn has been refurbished and reopened.

Catterick Post Office
The post office is on the main street through the village [A6136]. This is the old Great North Road and would once have been busy with traffic. Now a relatively quiet backwater.
