Pennypie Farm
Pennypie House was originally an inn used by lead miners, said to have sold pies for a penny. It stands on the old road from Blanchland to Hexham. Although it was originally built in the 18th century, it was much altered in the 19th century.

The Keys to the Past website http://www.keystothepast.info/k2p/usp.nsf/pws/keys+to+the+Past+-+home+page says "This building was originally an inn used by lead miners. It stands on the old road from Blanchland to Hexham. Although it was originally built in the 18th century, it was much altered in the 19th century.
