A former farming hamlet west of Shotley Bridge which dates back to the middle ages. Probably nothing of that era still existing. This building is probably an early C19 farmhouse.

This is the western farm of the two at Shotleyfield. Dates from the early C19 probably and has been restored recently. A nice example of a catslide roof over the rear extension.
