Grove Cottage, Consett
This detached house is on Villa Real Road, on the north side of the town. There is a house shown here on the 1862 Ordnance Survey map, but I don't know if it's this one. The 1932 map shows what is certainly this house.

Old path through the trees
This path is on a bit of waste land in the middle of No 1 Industrial Estate. It is shown on old maps as a path to Bunker Hill Farm. The stone gate post at the end here has probably been moved into the middle to deter unauthorized vehicles.

Path alongside the playing fields
These are the playing fields of Consett Rugby Club, behind the metal fence. There are two large floodlight pylons here also. The little path is a favourite of local dog walkers.

This road contains some very large old houses which belonged to important people at the Iron Works in former times. It was once the most desirable address in the town.

Playing fields at Consett Rugby Club
The club is at Belle Vue Park on the north side of the town. It has two pitches, and two matches are being played here. There was a sizable crowd present due I believe to this being the last game of the season for the under 17's.
