Lone tree by the roadside
On Durham Road in Blackhill, a suburb of Consett. The open field behind is the site of the former Blackfyne School, demolished in 2016, after being replaced by the new Consett Academy in 2015.

Looking down the path to Blackfyne
This footpath leads down the steep slope from The Promenade to Durham Road in Blackhill. The large white house at the bottom is Blackfyne, a Victorian house. It gave its name to the school which stood over the road until a few years ago.
