Brancepeth Golf Course
Brancepeth is a village close to Durham city effectively cut in two by the A690; the golf course lies on the south side of the road and east of the church.

Brancepeth Church
St.Brandon's, Brancepeth. Tower is 12thC. The nave and transepts 13th-14thC. The chancel roof is 17thC, and the whole church was tastefully remodelled in the 19thC. Inside there are monuments to: Robert Neville - 1319; Ralph Neville, 2nd Earl of Westmorland - 1484; Ralph Neville, 3rd Earl - 1523. Brasses to: Sir Thomas Claxton - 1403; Richard Drax (monk) - 1456. The church is down a lane that says private, but is not!

Chancel of St Brandon's
The rebuild of Image was undertaken in a deliberately simple style with a minimum of liturgical furniture. It is intended to replace this temporary plain east window with something more attractive.

St Brandon's Church, Brancepeth
Founded in the 12th century, http://www.northeastengland.talktalk.net/DurhamCityVillages.htm the Church was burned down in 1998. The interior has been tastefully renovated (rather than restored to its original state) and the Church was rededicated in 2005. http://www.dur.ac.uk/change-ringers.society/brancepeth/Brancepeth.html

New window in St Brandon's
When the church was rebuilt after a fire it was decided not to use stained glass, but the new glazing is in the 'Northumbrian style' where the artistic design is in the patterns of lead that frame the pieces of glass.
