Founded in the 12th century, http://www.northeastengland.talktalk.net/DurhamCityVillages.htm the Church was burned down in 1998. The interior has been tastefully renovated (rather than restored to its original state) and the Church was rededicated in 2005. http://www.dur.ac.uk/change-ringers.society/brancepeth/Brancepeth.html
