Lanchester Library
This building stands on the corner of Newbiggin Lane and Front Street in the centre of the village. The building and the one next door were originally part of the Workhouse, built in 1879.

Lanchester Library
This is captioned 'The Old Courthouse' on the large-scale OS map. It was built, probably in the early 20C, on part of the site of the workhouse. It has been converted to the public library, and I think there might be apartments on the first floor.
