Carved stone post by the A182, in parish of SOUTH HETTON (EASINGTON District), Snippers Gate, by the road, on South side of road. Easington stone, erected by an unknown authority in the 18th century. Inscription once read:- : (Houghton-le-Spring 4) : : (Easington 3) : Milestone Society National ID: DU_HSES04.
