Houses on north side of Front Street
The two nearer buildings are pairs of semi-detached houses, the third is the Pelton District War Memorial Hall. The Consett & Sunderland Railway Path crosses the old railway bridge in shadow at the left side of the image.

Pelton Bridge abutment
Detail of the north east abutment of Pelton Bridge on the north side of Front Street. There is an Ordnance Survey cut benchmark facing the road on the buttress at the end of the abutment. Pelton Bridge carries the Consett and Sunderland Railway Path.

Benchmark, Pelton Bridge
Detail of the Ordnance Survey cut benchmark on the north east abutment of Pelton Bridge on the north side of Front Street. The benchmark marks a height of 83.579m above sea level (Ordnance Datum Newlyn) last verified in 1962.

Pelton Bridge
Crossing Front Street, this substantial bridge once carried the Birtley, Annfield Plain and Consett railway but today is only used by walkers, cyclists and horse riders on the Consett and Sunderland Railway Path.
