Trees alongside St. Cuthbert's Cemetery
The view is from Elvet Hill, north of St. Aiden's College in Durham. St. Cuthbert's Cemetery is beyond the trees to the right and the large area of grass which resembles a hay meadow.
The towers above the trees are those of Durham Cathedral.

Unusual cross at roadside
The cross is alongside a road north of St. Aidan's College, Durham. It's a sculpture, 'The Wheel Cross', by Fenwick Lawson and is part of a Durham University collection. (Information from 'The Milestone Society")
To the right of the cross in the distance are towers of Durham Cathedral.
