The Holm
These three roe deer ran across the B733 as I was driving into Kirkcowan on a cold foggy morning. They jumped a stane wall to get into this field but kindly waited long enough for me to get a quick snap of them.

Tarf at Johnston's Bridge
View of Tarf Water flowing downstream taken from the bridge as it runs down to meet the Bladnoch. I couldn't work out what the dark shadow was on the grey granite stone of the bridge in the foreground until it dawned that the sun was behind me and the shadow was me.

Me and My Shadow
This shot was taken from Johnston's Bridge near Kirkcowan and I struggled to work out why I kept getting a dark shadow on the grey granite stone bridge. I was using my small point and shoot Panasonic with an LCD screen which I was having trouble seeing through because of the glare ... because ... the sun was behind me shining on the camera and also casting my shadow on the bridge creating what is a really weird picture with part of my head appearing as reflected water. This was truly not posed and I couldn't do it again if I tried!
