Hummocky terrain, Blackstairs
There is an area here of very complex contours, probably the result of glacial deposition. Ducks could be heard calling from unseen wetlands lurking amongst the basket of eggs. The Mull and television mast can be seen in the background.

Glenmidge
A terrifying place name, but safe to visit today. This is the gap between Kirkbride and Benan Hills, and has all the appearance of glacially modified drainage or a meltwater channel, possibly a former route of the Cairn Water. Today it carries a very small misfit burn.

Kame and kettle terrain by Lagg
Some of the mapped lochans are becoming vegetated and moving on to the marshland phase of succession. There were a lot of very vocal mallards here.

A clearance cairn
The smooth grassland here was won through hard labour, removing the many rocks lying about.

Rolling landscape
I found the geography of Scotland really satisfying. There are so many rolls and hills. The walls accentuate the course of the land.
