Old milestone
One of very few milestones from the original route of the Carlisle to Glasgow road that is still by the roadside and complete with metal plate. It has been painted in recent years and stands out against the white garden wall in Gretna Green.

Benchmark on Gretna Old Parish Church
Ordnance Survey 1GL bolt benchmark levelled at 30.145m above Newlyn Datum, verified 1973. The mark was previously levelled at 98.591 feet above Liverpool Datum during the 1GL Longtown to Port Patrick Survey. The surveyor's description was 'No. 12. Bolt in North-east corner of North face of Gretna Green Parish Church ; 1.54 ft. above surface'
