Cafe in Dock Park
The building probably dates from the early to mid 20th century (Canmore entry http://canmore.rcahms.gov.uk/en/site/313428/details/dumfries+dock+park+pavilion/ ). When this picture was taken, it had recently reopened as the Cup Cake Cafe - reasonable prices and well worth a visit.

Fishing the Nith
Hoping for a salmon. It would have been interesting to see him land a fish from where he stood - as he was a few metres above water level. Most fishermen wade this stretch of the river.
