The one and only
Constituency office of David Mundell, the only Tory Westminster MP in Scotland. Eliminating Tories is a bit like Whack-a-Mole. Got rid of them once, in 1997 but one then popped up in Galloway only to be defeated and replaced by Mr Mundell in this indescribable constituency (Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale) which extends from Gretna almost to Penicuik. It was sort of made up from leftovers when Scotland had its representation reduced after devolution. 60 years earlier, the Unionist Party gained over 50% of the popular vote in Scotland, the only time this has ever happened.

The Black Bull Inn
As a notice on the outside wall of the inn states, 'Here Burns wrote on a window pane, "Ask why God made the gem so small and why so huge the granite, because God meant mankind should set the higher value on it."

Black Bull Inn Moffat
The oldest inn in Moffat which was much frequented by the poet Robert Burns. Here on a window pane he had etched this verse about a lady love who was seen passing by the window. The window pane was presented many years ago to visiting Russian dignitaries. https://www.theblackbullmoffat.co.uk/history/
