Moffat fire station
The station is located in The Holm. It has one appliance and an outside training yard and tower. There are 11 retained crew members based at Moffat. The Station was opened in 1979.

Houses in Warriston Road
There is some unusual planning in this Moffat housing estate. Not only is there a perfect circle of road (see Image]), but here, the terraced houses in this pedestrian-only part of Warriston Road are each stepped slightly back or forward to each other, producing a slight curve. The terrace on each side of the central green mirrors the opposite side.

Moffat Mountain Rescue
Moffat Mountain Rescue was founded on the 26th January 1969, and was originally named Moffat Hill Rescue Service. The Team's name was changed to Moffat Mountain Rescue Team on the 19th April 1995 when it became affiliated to the Mountain Rescue Council of Scotland. The service provides rescue cover across the eastern area of Dumfries and Galloway, an area of approx 400 kilometres square. The new purpose built base in Moffat, photographed here, was officially opened on the 7th July 2007.
