1A Green Avenue with 84 High Street, Chellaston
This is the whitewashed building on the corner. This unassuming building is listed Grade II as it represents a substantially intact example of an early 19th century combined dwelling and village shop, although no longer in use as such

Pinfold seating area
Stray animals were held in the pinfold, where their owners could collect them, on payment of a fine. This one is now a seating area. There is an inscribed stone set into the ground in front, which reads, "July 10th 1806 Nathan Bentle of Sworkeston Took is Ass Out of the Pinfould the Gat not being Locked in Consequence of that he Broke the Pound".

St Peter's Church, Chellaston
Until the late 19th century this was a chapel attached to the parish of Melbourne. The English Heritage listing (Grade II*) is unusually uninformative - it is simply recorded as "Small church consisting of west tower, rebuilt 1842, nave, south aisle and C15 Perpendicular chancel. Stone with slate roof. Plain Norman font."
