The Ashby Woulds
The Ashby Woulds opened in 1973 as an Everards house. By 2010, it was badly run-down and put up for sale as a "Public house/development land". Nothing much seems to have happened since.

Residential protests at Norris Hill
The term "Willow Withies" seemed confusing at the time, but a brief research revealed it to be a proposed retirement village in the greenfield land opposite. Given that the development will appear as a large apartment block in the middle of the countryside, concern would seem understandable.

The Heart of the National Forest
Presumably this claim represents the tree being located in the geographical centre of the National forest region. The plaque, stating the above, is dated 1992.
Located on the junction between Ashby Road and Willesley Woodside, on the outskirts of Moira.

At the heart
On the corner of Ashby Road & Woodside, Moira, this tree was planted in 1992 to mark the heart of the National Forest. 14 years on and many new plantations have been born in the area.
