Brechin railway station, Angus
Opened in 1848 by the Aberdeen Railway on what became a short branch off the Caledonian Railway's line from Perth to Aberdeen, this station closed in 1952. It was reopened as a preserved railway in 1993 by Caledonian Railway (Brechin). View west towards the buffers. The original Aberdeen Railway building is to the right of the platform. The building beyond the buffers was a Caledonian Railway addition in around 1895.

Preserved rolling tock, Brechin Station
Brechin never quite fitted into the railway building plans of the 19th Century and local trains from Forfar to Montrose had to reverse at Brechin Station, which closed to passengers as early as 1952: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forfar_and_Brechin_Railway . Now the base of the preserved Caledonian Railway (Brechin): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caledonian_Railway_(Brechin) .
